Hymn: Come, Let Us Use the Grace Devine

This performance was from a church service at my home church, Raleigh Court United Methodist Church, that I played in as subsitute organist. "Come, Let Us Use the Grace Divine" was the final hymn of the service and I used an interesting resource on the organ that not many organists have thought of using during the service. Some newer organs have a function on them called a MIDI system, which allows the musician to record their every movement at the instrument, such as pressing down a key, pulling a stop, or anything else that the organ can do. I used this function to record the hymn and play it back during the service while I was playing piano, which can be heard very faintly in this recording. This created a piano-organ duet during the congregational singing, which encouraged them to sing louder and with more force, since the piano is a percussive instrument. I would like to perform more piano-organ duet hymns in the future, but mostly for special occasions.
