For the past three years, I worked with Person County United Way, a nonprofit organization focused on identifying pressing community issues and making changes through partnerships with schools, government agencies, bussniesses, and volunteers.

 As the Social Media Coordinator: 

• I streamlined communications by creating a daily bulletin on the website for community members, faculty, and board of directors, covering a variety of events such as fundraisers, volunteerism opportunities, and ways to donate.
• Operated the Get Connected Volunteer Page allowing partner agencies free volunteer ads online. This page gets community members active and involved with a variety of agencies such as The Christian Help Center or The Person County Senior Center.
• Sent out monthly email blasts to school employees, community members, and business owners about the upcoming events for Person County United Way.

Person County United Way mobilizes the caring power of our communtiy to help one another by making  lasting improvements on health and human care issues.
