Earthquake Depth Mapping

GHY 3812 | Introduction to GIS

     This map aims to convey information about major earthquakes’ depths in 2004 and 2005. The earthquakes presented have magnitudes of 6.5 or greater, and interesting trends of their spatial location (near tectonic plate boundaries) can be observed. A graduated circle symbol was used to allow the reader to visually compare the depths of each quake.
