Toxic Release Analysis

GHY 3812 | Introduction to GIS

    This analysis was performed in the ArcGIS platform in order to determine a relationship between populations of varying demographics and their proximity to toxic release sites in Charlotte, NC. Tables of data were joined and georeferenced with shape files obtained from state websites. A strong correlation between mean housing value and the African American population can be seen across the city, and appears to be a major factor in the distribution of toxic release sites.
